(More customer reviews)I just received my eureka vacuum yesterday. I previously had a dirt devil, which worked alright but it was a cheap vacuum to begin with. I couldn't afford to spend the money on a dyson (I mean come on 400 for a vacuum cleaner!) I ordered the eureka b/c my dirt devil would fill up but i could still see all the pet hair on the floor. I have a rottweiler and my room mate has a calico; between the two my house is filled with pet hair in an hour. I used this vacuum once in my family room (the animals both sleep in that room) and when i emptied it the garbage looked like i had just shaved my dog with a buzzer.
The upholstery attachment worked wonders on my couch as well. Although the cord for the extension handle is a little different than what I'm used to I can't complain about it's performance. I enjoyed the pet hair want, but haven't had a chance to see if it works too well.
The only reason I didn't give the vacuum 5 stars is because since I just got it I can't tell how long it's going to last. For now I believe it is well worth the money.
